The Rizt Restaurant London review

Feast on London at The Ritz: The Ultimate Dinner Indulgence

Call me a hedonist, but we all deserve to spoil ourselves once in a while. In fact, I’m a huge believer that adding a bit of quality ‘me time’ to your daily routine is an essential part of self-love. And there’s nothing that says self-love quite like amazing food! I love catching up with friends over a meal – it’s such a great way to slow down time and enjoy the moment, something that’s easy to forget when you live in a busy city like London. Sometimes, a luxury is just that – sharing a meal with the people who matter the most. But if we can add a bit of fanfare to the occasion then it’s a win-win! Having moved to London two and a half years ago, I soon learned that dining out (or grabbing one too many cheeky glasses of prosecco) can quickly add up to a small fortune, but there are many ways we can all enjoy a bit of affordable luxury in the capital. Bookatable’s Feast on London, which I’ve been …

The Most Instagrammable London Spots to Visit This Spring

I can’t think of a more perfect time to visit London than the spring, when the city cheerfully waves goodbye to winter gloom as the streets become covered with cherry blossom. From Hyde Park to zone nine, London suddenly turns into a cherry tree oasis, and with days finally getting longer and filled with sunshine, you’ll have little reason to stay inside. If you’re following me on Instagram, you’ll know that I have a rather soft spot for London’s cafe scene. In a city where new places pop up on every corner faster than you can say ‘coffee’, it’s hard to keep up but fear not – I’ve taken it upon myself to discover London’s most gorgeous cafes and equally glorious spots for your spring walk. After all, what better way to embrace the spring and the cherry blossom season than with a beetroot latte in hand, taking in the sights of London’s most Instagrammable spots? Mandeville hotel

The French Riviera in the heart of Marylebone

Those of you dreaming of indulging in the glamour of the French Riviera and London’s buzzing city life will no longer have to choose between the two. In a bold and oh so chic move, The Mandeville Hotel has recently collaborated with Maison Christian Lacroix, bringing the feel of the famous coastline to the fifth floor of their Marylebone hotel. The launch of their stunning new rooms, true to Lacroix’ flamboyant style, transformed the hotel into a true couture treat. I was lucky to be a part of the experience, as I enjoyed a rather glamorous staycation at the Jewel Box room, a part of the Riviera Rooms collection. With each of the four rooms designed to tell a different story, from the tropical feel of Jardin Exotique accentuated with Julian Chichester’s furniture to the glamorously sultry Midnight Blue, Jewel Box makes you feel as if you quite literally walked inside a jewellery box. This comes as no surprise as the room decor was inspired by Grace Kelly’s famously stolen Cartier jewels. From bejewelled bedding …

Experiencing Uni Life in London: University Rooms Review

What does Harry Potter, an accommodation provider and one of London’s most upmarket districts have in common? More than you might think as it turns out!   Being a relentless traveller that I am, country hopping every few weeks, means that I’m always on the lookout for fun, unique ways to travel. This doesn’t just mean finding flight deals or researching the latest hot spots, but also jazzing it up a bit in the accommodation department. When, years ago, I discovered AirBnB I thought I hit the jackpot but it so happens that there’s a new cool kid in town…University Rooms! I discovered them when researching London accommodation back in September, my goal being booking a place somewhere nice and comfortable, without suffering a heart attack at the sight of the bill. This is when University Rooms came in. A unique (and may I add, rather economical) bed and breakfast alternative to hotels, they provide accommodation at university colleges and student residences in 75 cities worldwide, filling rooms which would otherwise stay empty. Genius! With …

Clink78 review, Clink Hostels London

Experience Clink78, London’s Most Unique Hostel

I think we all know the struggle of travelling to a place like London all too well… It’s an amazing experience but comes, quite literally, at a price. If, like me, you’re hesitant to spend your life’s savings on London accommodation then I have a solution for you – Clink78!   This 200 year old courtroom turned hostel located conveniently by the bustling Kings Cross combines Victorian decor with a fun, youthful vibe, but there’s a twist: aside from offering private, single-sex and mixed facilities, Clink78 gives you the chance to bring your experience a step further and sleep in authentic prison cells (don’t worry, they’ve all been refurbished to add much needed colour and warmth)! Perfect for sharing with your partner in crime, you’ll be in a great company too  – Clink78 is where the Clash were famously fined. Before I go into describing my experience in more detail, let me be honest with you: I’ve never been a fan of hostels –  as much as I love to travel, the idea of sharing a, possibly dingy and drabby, …
